the art of doing your heart's work

Your work matters, your art is needed, your story inspires.

I’ve held the hand of hundreds of women as they birthed their businesses and creative projects into the world. I've seen the amount of sweat, tears, beauty and courage that it takes to materialise our visions and create a piece of the world we wish to see.

And... to claim that little piece as your own.

YOUR contribution towards a more beautiful world.

Last year, it was my turn to apply all that I know about conscious brand design and bring forward a more refined version of my heart's work.

For a peek behind the curtain, here are the 3 most valuable insights from my process:

1) I offered myself the gift of time.

When I’m working on personal projects, I need to take lots of pauses. I like to get immersed for a few days/weeks, then completely disconnect. I want to rest, assimilate and contain the energy before I launch.

Like a long…. juicy shavasana after a yoga practice.

This flexibility allows me to follow a natural pulse that I enjoy, a rhythm I can dance to. It still gets uncomfortable and chaotic at times, but I know I’ll be able to join the dots and refine without pressure. And the nervous system really appreciates that.

2) I focused more on values & resonance than sales & marketing

There are formulas, templates and cookie cutter strategies out there – and they can work really well for marketing. But when we create for validation or to attract a particular reaction (from the outside in), we lose connection with the essence. We get caught in the metrics and forget about the magic.

The more I commit to values-based work and prioritise alignment over scalability, the more I feel passionate and energised to deliver my best work. This virtuous cycle of integrity + resonance + high-end quality keeps bringing my people in, because it’s nourishing, it’s real and it has impact.

3) I went from linear striving to cyclic flow

There was a time when I was marching up towards the top of an imaginary mountain, following the illusion that if I kept doing everything right, one day I’d finally get “there” – the destination where everything would feel good. Ha!

Now I like to see the ebb and flow of creativity as a natural continuum. More circular, less linear. More devotional, less predictable. Sometimes it feels like the wave is moving backwards before she integrates with the whole... and comes back again, and again.

This approach inspires a sense of Humility. If we're constantly changing, our creative expression is an ever-evolving work in progress.

So our job is not to be extraordinary, our job is not to 'get it right'. Our only job as conscious creators is to translate and share – as honestly and beautifully as possible – what is real and meaningful inside.
